Witnessing In Montgomery

On behalf of the Recreation Department (Senior Center Manager & Open Space Coordinator), we would like to thank you for your invite to the Wreaths Across America Event yesterday, Wednesday, December 12.  We all agreed that it was a moving, well-planned, entertaining, and educational experience that we were all glad to have been a part of.

We were all touched by the level of participation, the guest speakers, the music selection, and most importantly – the support from the Community, Municipality, School District, Veteran Community, Student body, etc,. Your planning and execution had everyone in our Recreation Building talking about it for most of the day today and I personally wanted you to know the level of impact that this event has had on all of us.

Thank you again for extending the invite and for allowing all of us to be a part of such an amazing, once in a lifetime experience (especially around this time of year).

Very Respectfully,

Jared Gutowski

Thank you so much for your kind words and your wonderful speech! As I have always said, none of this would have been possible without your efforts. You truly were the catalyst to all our success.

Thanks again and I hope we stay in touch in the future!

POW/MIA Chair & Lincoln Witness Tree

I am honored to have the POW/MIA Chair of Honor from Rolling Thunder Inc. on display in my Gettysburg Office.

I was also presented with two Honey locust seedlings. They are to be "Abraham Lincoln Honey Locust" which is the only tree that still stands today in the Soldiers National Cemetery. The tree present when Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863.

What a huge honor!

Thank you so much...

Wreaths Across America at Hudson Valley

Dear friend,

I can’t even begin to tell you the impact of your speech had on several members of the convoy to Arlington. You brought to light a subject that is often swept under the carpet. Denial, uncomfortable and pain may be reasons or excuses for not talking about this subject but we both know there are many open wounds in our circles. We never want to hurt especially those carrying an undeniable hurt already. My hope is to help heal that results in the positive contribution everyone needs. As we gently share our story and our loss we are able to embrace and hear others talk about their children. Letting them know we will never tire of hearing how proud they are of their lost hero.

The event at HVCC had an expected mixed audience so of course it is a challenge to speak but you nailed it. Wonderful messages of support and gratitude were shared internally at the college. The President sent a lovely message as well.

I was so delighted and honored you, Kathy and our National Rolling Thunder friends came to share this event. NOONE does justice to the POW-MIA ceremony as you three do together. I can never express my gratitude.
